About CCRP

Clinical Claims Resolution Process (CCRP), a workstream initiative proposed by the Multilateral Healthcare Insurance Committee (MHIC), is a voluntary claims resolution process that provides insurers, doctors, medical institutions and policyholders an avenue for recourse, should they have issues pertaining to clinical matters involving Integrated Shield Plan (IP) claims.

* MHIC was commissioned by Ministry of Health, Singapore (MOH) on 27 April 2021 to provide a platform for healthcare providers, payors, consumer representatives and the Government to collaboratively address issues related to health insurance.

Our Mission

To provide an alternative claims resolution process that is independent and impartial, document-based review so as to encourage and assist parties in seeking a final and binding determination of a dispute on a clinical matter(s) in relation to an Integrated Shield Plan.

Overview

The CCRP will help to facilitate the resolution of IP claim disputes, including but not limited to

Rejection of claims for medically appropriate treatment or procedures;
Concerns on over-charging by doctors, medical institutions or clinics;
Concerns on over-servicing by doctors, medical institutions or clinics.

Management & Administration

The Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AMS) is tasked to develop and administer the CCRP in consultation with MHIC stakeholders.

AMS is a professional institution of medical and dental specialists devoted to advancing the art and science of medicine in Singapore through postgraduate specialist training; maintenance of high standards of competency and ethical integrity through continuous professional development as well as dissemination of information and knowledge to the public on matters related to health.
